Is an airy and light weight summer top with a casual fit and beautiful wide bands
of twisted ribbing at the edges
– just perfect for nice summer days out on the water as well as on land.

The classic nautical stripes have gotten an update and present themselves
as strings of beads, made with a simple technique.

I wish you happy knitting and hope you will love
your very own SAILORS TEE

  • The vest is knitted from the top down.
A couple of short rows are added to the back neck for a better fit before the yoke is knitted in stockinette with a couple of pattern rounds.
After placing the sleeve stitches on holders, the body is knitted to desired length and finished with a border of twisted ribbing.
The short sleeves are also finished with ribbing.
The neck edge is knitted last.

    Before you begin:
Read through the entire pattern before you cast on. Make sure that you know which directions apply to you. And don’t forget to make a swatch – especially if you decide to knit with a different yarn – to make sure that your gauge matches the one in the pattern.
